Open File#

Displays a dialog window that allows the User to open a file.

Title[Text] The text, variable value, or result of calculations that will be displayed in the title of the dialog window.
Filter

[Text] If necessary, a file filter can be specified. For each filtering parameter, the filter string contains a description of the filter followed by a vertical bar (|) and the filter pattern. Strings for different filtering parameters are separated by a vertical bar.

For example, "Text files (*.txt)|*.txt|All files (*.*)|*.*" - the dialog will provide a choice between two options: "Text files (*.txt)" and "All files (*.*)"

Default Extension

[Text] The default file name extension.

This property is used only if "All files (*.*)" is selected in the filter field and the User has not specified an extension.

For example, "txt" (without the dot).

File Path[Text] Returns the path to the file selected by the User.
Error Handling Level

Select the error handling level. Possible values:

  • "Default" - by default;
  • "Ignore" - errors are ignored;
  • "Handle" - errors are handled.

If "Default" is selected, the value from the "Start" block of this diagram will be used.

Error Output Direction

Select the output direction from the block in case of an error. Possible values:

  • "Default" - by default;
  • "Right" - to the right;
  • "Bottom" - down.

This property allows you to determine the output direction in case of errors for blocks that do not contain the "If Error" connector (for example, the "Condition" block).

If "Default" is selected, the value from the "Start" block of this diagram will be used.

Message Level

Select the message level that the blocks will output during operation. Possible values:

  • "Default" - by default;
  • "Release" - output is disabled;
  • "Debug" - main information output;
  • "Detailed" - detailed information output.

If "Default" is selected, the value from the "Start" block of this diagram will be used.

Error Text[Text] Returns detailed information about the error in case of incorrect execution of the block's work.
